Achata beach is a small rocky bay with gray pebbles, and with crystal-clear, green-coloured water. The seabed is also rocky, and is deepens quickly.The visitors of Achata say that the life in the sea is almost as vivid as in the tropical seas. Indeed, the seabed of Achata is one of the richest on the island, so it is ideal for snorkeling. The clarity is the water is really impressive, exceeding 30-40m in horizontal direction. The beach is slightly organized, with a small tavern in the background. There are a few umbrellas and parasols, but the beach is not crowded at all. The life is really peaceful here! Achata is easy to reach by car or bike, because the beach can be accessed via a narrow road that starts from Aperi. There are road signs outside the village showing you the way. On the way to the beach, you’ll see many amazing caves in the valley. Before you reach Achata, you’ll see also a little chapel with blue dome next to the road. At the end of the road here is a parking site, with a few shady areas.
