The beach is located on the southern side of Arkasa, only 1 km from the city. The road from Arkasa runs directly to the coast, making the detection of Ag. Nikolaos beach easy. At the end of the road there is a small parking place and many tamarisk trees, that offer shade to visitors. The beach is a middle-sized cove, on the left side of to the rocky peninsula. The area well organized with umbrellas, sunbeds, showers, changing rooms, etc.
It has have fine sand and shallow waters, but usually the waves are coming. There are some beach bars behind the beach, with spectacular sea view. Because of the beach is located on the western side of Karpathos, in the evenings you can enjoy the beautiful sunset! In the area you can find some ruins of Arkesia, which was an ancient city thousands of years ago.
